Prayer for Breaking Curses and Witchcraft

Have you ever felt an unexplainable weight of oppression? Perhaps it’s a cycle of hardship, persistent confusion in your thoughts, or a spiritual heaviness that prayer alone doesn’t seem to lift. As believers, we must be spiritually discerning. The Bible tells us our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against spiritual forces of evil (Ephesians 6:12).

The enemy sometimes uses specific assignments like curses or witchcraft to bring fear, sickness, and chaos into the lives of God’s people. But hear this today, dear brother or sister: you have been given all authority in the name of Jesus (Luke 10:19). The victory is not something you must earn; it is something you must enforce through faith based on what Christ already accomplished on the cross.

If you sense any form of spiritual attack, stand firm. The power of the Holy Spirit within you is your guarantee of victory. The prayer below is a bold declaration of your freedom in Christ. Pray it with faith, with a heart fully trusting in the finished work of our Savior.

A Prayer for Canceling Curses and Witchcraft

Heavenly Father, I come before You now in the mighty, powerful, and victorious name of Your Son, Jesus Christ. You are my fortress and my shield, my deliverer in whom I trust.
Your Word declares in Galatians 3:13 that “Christ has redeemed us from the curse of the law by becoming a curse for us.” I stand on this truth today. I declare that through the finished work of the cross, every curse, every spell, every hex, every word of witchcraft spoken against me, my life, my family, my home, or my destiny is now broken, nullified, and canceled in the name of Jesus!

I specifically renounce and revoke any and all assignments of darkness. I cancel every curse of sickness, poverty, confusion, strife, and failure. I break every chain of oppression and every cycle of defeat. By the authority given to me in Luke 10:19, I tread upon every serpent and scorpion, and over all the power of the enemy, and nothing shall by any means harm me.
I plead the precious blood of Jesus over myself, my mind, my body, my spirit, my family, and my home. The blood of Jesus is my protection and my legal right to freedom. Your Word in 1 John 4:4 says, “Greater is he who is in me than he who is in the world.” Therefore, I command every demonic spirit sent to enforce these curses to loose its hold now and flee! I cast you out, spirits of witchcraft, divination, jinx, and sorcery. Go now to the place Jesus sends you, and never return.

I cancel every negative word, every evil wish, and every demonic projection directed at me. Let them be shattered by the lightning of God’s power and dissolved by the fire of the Holy Spirit. I declare that no weapon formed against me shall prosper, and every tongue that rises against me in judgment, You condemn (Isaiah 54:17).

Holy Spirit, fill every area of my life that has been vacated by the enemy. Flood my home with Your light, peace, and joy. Surround me and my loved ones with Your holy angels. I take back every piece of ground that the enemy has stolen. My life, my home, and my family are dedicated to the Lordship of Jesus Christ, and in this place, no curse can dwell.

I thank You, Lord, for my complete deliverance and freedom. I stand firm in Your victory.
In the all-powerful name of Jesus Christ, I pray. Amen.

Standing in Your Freedom

After praying, stand your ground. Do not simply pray and then walk away in fear. Your faith and declaration have activated spiritual victory.

  • Continue to plead the blood of Jesus over yourself and your home daily.
  • Fill your atmosphere with praise, worship, and the spoken Word of God.
  • Resist the enemy and he will flee from you (James 4:7).

Remember, you are not fighting for victory; you are fighting from a place of victory. The battle belongs to the Lord, and in Him, you are more than a conqueror.

If this prayer ministered to you, feel free to share it with someone who needs to be set free.
